NRL implements new concussion protocol to ensure player safety
The NRL has confirmed its biggest shake-up to player safety protocols in close to a decade.
Any footballer diagnosed with a concussion will be stood down for a mandatory 11-day period.
It’s the key element of a major overhaul of the League’s Head Injury rules, which has been announced by the NRL Chief Executive Andrew Abdo.
The new rules will be in place for round three which begins with tomorrow’s clash between Parramatta and Manly.
