Luke Goodwin opens up about what the NRL’s Multicultural Round means to the Bulldogs
Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs Head of Wellbeing Luke Goodwin has opened up about the club’s proud range of cultures within the club.
On Sunday afternoon, the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs will celebrate the NRL’s Multicultural Round when they take on the Wests Tigers at a sold-out Belmore Sports Oval.
It’ll be the ultimate celebration at Belmore with a host of initiatives and cultural performances throughout the day.
Goodwin works closely with the players about their different cultures and told The Continuous Call Team there’s “over 13 different cultures represented in our club alone, which is pretty cool.”
“I was blessed and lucky enough to play in the first Belmore Multicultural Round in 1993, there was 27,000 fans there and it was amazing.
“We’re planning to meet at the Leagues Club, then walking to Belmore Sports Ground with cultural gear and flags, that’s how much our players are buying into the fixture.”
