A father has shared an emotional story about his child switching gender.

Chad stated that whilst growing up, his son Max, would make “off-the-cuff comments” about being a girl.

After a visit to a Doctor, Chad and his wife were informed that it was “highly likely” that his son was transgender.

With a range of research and expert opinions, On December 15 2021, Max became Maxie.

Chad told Ben, growing up in a traditional family made the acceptance of his daughter’s decision “extremely tough”.

He told Ben Fordham, now, today he is in “awe” of his daughter’s strength, bravery and courage.
