Matt Renshaw has pushed his case for The Ashes tour selection
Matt Renshaw has slammed his second century in another red-ball clash between New Zealand A, pushing him forward for the upcoming Ashes tour selection.
During the first match of the Australian A tour of New Zealand last week at Lincoln University, the Queenslander scored a 112 and 78, using a Dukes ball, which are also used for The Ashes.
“It was a really good tour, a lot of young guys in our squad got the opportunity to get used to a Duke ball in pretty tough conditions,” Matt told Mat Thompson.
Matt is hoping to resume a role as opening batsman at some stage.
“I’ve always loved the challenge of opening the batting, it’s where I started my career,” he said.
