NSW renting crisis to WORSEN as migrants enter Australia
Contributing Economics Editor at The Australia, Judith Sloan, has been keeping a close eye on the development of the NSW rental crisis.
Ms Sloan believes that the renting crisis has only just begun, as supply will not meet demand with the number of migrants renting Australian properties.
“The rental increases are between 15 and 30 per cent on average and there are not sufficient places for the demand,” Ms Sloan told Michael McLaren.
“We are getting a record number of applications from people on visitor visas to stay on temporary visas, and they are uncapped.”
