Lidia Thorpe’s father, Roy Illingworth, has slammed the Victorian Senator, saying he is “ashamed” of his daughter’s recent behaviour.

The pair are estranged because Thorpe “refuses to acknowledge” her father and she also will not acknowledge her English and Irish heritage, wanting to be seen as only Aboriginal.

Mr Illingworth told Sky News in an interview that “she’s a very racist person”, and suggested that “maybe the power is going to her head”.

“She won’t listen to anyone who is smart enough to push back against her absurd and obnoxious behaviour,” said Ben Fordham.
