‘Revenue raising’: Chris Minns has ABOLISHED hidden speed cameras
The NSW Labor government has made their first big call since coming into power, they’ve decided to abolish hidden speed cameras, bringing the warning signs back.
In 2020, drivers copped $40 million in fines, when the former government decided to remove mobile speed camera signs.
Premier Chris Minns has brought warning signs back for good, telling Ben Fordham that the hidden speed cameras were not about reducing the road toll in NSW.
“It was in fact about revenue raising. I want to make sure that people don’t commit the offence in the first place,” said Minns.
