No. 100 Squadron: The guardians of our national heritage in the sky
The No. 100 Squadron maintains priceless artefacts of Australia’s national heritage and conducts flying displays to commemorate those who have fallen in service.
The squadron also promotes the Royal Australian Air Force and inspires future generations of leaders, and they are a part of the flyovers across Australia to commemorate Anzac Day.
The Commanding Officer of No. 100 Squadron, Wing Commander Jason Easthope, operates the Air Force’s fleet of heritage aircraft.
“Going to a museum and seeing some of our historical aircraft is awesome, but when you see it running, it really hits the heart,” Commander Easthope told Deborah Knight.
