Jack Wighton will leave the Canberra Raiders at the end of the season to play for South Sydney in 2024.

Nine News and SMH Senior Sports Reporter Michael Chammas joined the Continuous Call Team to deliver the breaking news.

“Jack Wighton’s on his way out of the nation’s capital, heading to the Rabbitohs next year”, Mr Chammas said.

He also confirmed that Jack Wighton will forego the Raiders $1.1m per season contract to join the Bunnies on a deal worth around $800,000.

The player informed his teammates and coach today of the decision.
