EXCLUSIVE | ‘It’s not good enough’: Andrew Abdo slams Rabbitohs interchange blunder
NRL CEO Andrew Abdo has slammed the interchange blunder during last night’s clash between the Broncos and Rabbitohs at Suncorp Stadium, saying “it’s not good enough”.
It comes after South Sydney reportedly played up to 15 seconds with 14 men on the field during the second half in the win over Brisbane.
Abdo confirmed interchanges are the responsibility of the clubs and told The Continuous Call Team a full review is underway.
“It shouldn’t happen, it’s not good enough,” Abdo said.
“We need to have controls in place to make sure that it doesn’t happen again and obviously there has to be accountability for that.
“There’s a full review well underway (and) we’ll look to finalise that on Monday.”
