‘It doesn’t feel premium anymore’: Chris O’Keefe on outgoing Qantas CEO Alan Joyce’s legacy
Chris O’Keefe has reflected on outgoing Qantas CEO Alan Joyce’s legacy, following his decision to retire after 15 years at the helm.
Joyce will be replaced by Vanessa Hudson in November, with the 2GB Drive host declaring Joyce a “master” of making money for the company in his tenure, but he did have his criticisms.
O’Keefe has particularly critical of Joyce’s decision to make 15,000 workers redundant since 2008 and claimed the airline “doesn’t feel premium anymore”.
