Ben Franklin is the new President of the NSW Upper House
Ben Franklin is the new President of the Upper House of the NSW Parliament, a job that pays $315 thousand a year.
On today’s opening of Parliament, the Coalition nominated every Labor MP in the Upper House for the position of President, but they all declined, leaving Ben Franklin as the only candidate for the job.
New Nationals leader, Dougal Saunders, is expected to suspend the National Party membership of Ben Franklin and dispatch him.
“It’s not a hard job. It’s a ceremonial job,” said Ray Hadley.
