NSW Premier Chris Minns has announced that he is not supporting a ban on caged eggs. 

This comes after Animal Justice Party MP Emma Hurst put forward legislation to Parliament proposing that caged eggs be ‘phased out’.

The decision is notable considering NSW’s contribution of 36% to the total Australian egg production.
