Senator Jacinta Price criticises handling of the Voice referendum
Senator Jacinta Price has criticised the handling of the Voice referendum by the Federal government, citing several reasons that could lead to its failure.
She explained that the Voice is based on the premise that all Aboriginal Australians are marginalised, to which she said: “is simply not true”.
“Those in the remotest parts of this country are some of our most marginalized Australians and the focus should be on them and their needs”.
She continued, “Their lives are always exploited for the benefit of political gain”.
Senator Price also criticised the tactics of name-calling and bullying used by some proponents of the Voice and stressed the significance of a well-defined proposal.
