What’s being done to reduce hospital emergency department pressure?

Clinton Maynard is joined by Ryan Park, Minister for Health & Labor member for Keira, about what he’s doing to ease the pressure on hospital emergency departments.

The demand for ambulance services and emergency departments have reached unprecedented levels as the ongoing increase in activity, which had already started prior to the pandemic, persists. 

Although there was some gradual improvement in the waiting time for patients to initiate their treatment, they still had to endure longer waits and spend more time in the emergency department compared to the pre-pandemic period.
