NSW Coach Brad Fittler is hopeful Broncos forward Payne Haas will overcome an ankle injury to be fit for State of Origin three against Queensland in 10 days time.

Haas put in a strong performance in his team’s win over the Dolphins at the Gabba last night, but also aggravated an existing ankle injury.

The Blues will name their team for game three in Sydney tomorrow and Fittler told The Continuous Call Team they won’t be rushed into any decisions.

“We are waiting on the medical advice on Payne Haas, he’ll get scans tomorrow,” Fittler said.

“He’s got an ankle problem.”

The Blues have already lost Tom Trbojevic to a pectoral injury, while Latrell Mitchell and Campbell Graham have been ruled out.
