Paul McGregor open to NRL coaching return
NSW Blues Assistant Coach Paul McGregor has confirmed he’s open to coaching in the NRL again if an opportunity presented itself.
McGregor spent seven years at the Dragons as their head coach before he and the club parted ways in 2020.
In recent times, McGregor has been linked to the Knights despite coach Adam O’Brien being contracted until the end of 2024.
McGregor told The Continuous Call Team he’d consider returning to the head coaching ranks if it was the right job.
“If an opportunity did come up at Newcastle, I would certainly look at that if it did come up,” McGregor said.
“At the moment, Adam (O’Brien) has a contract, you want them to do well, (and) make finals.
“Nothing has been said to me at the moment from the Newcastle side of it about next year or beyond.”
