Survivor’s petition to change NSW law helping paedophiles
Harrison James, survivor, advocate and founder of the Your Reference Ain’t Relevant Campaign, is urging New South Wales citizens to sign a petition to prevent paedophiles from using good character to get reduced prison time.
It comes after Ray Hadley put the spotlight on a Sydney Morning Herald report earlier this week, which documented the case of Kshetiz Bhati, who managed to get his prison time reduced on appeal after his sentencing judge failed to consider his “good character”.
Survivor James spoke with Ray over the matter and his bid to change the law in NSW, which Ray is also advocating for.
“It is never appropriate for a child sex offender to claim good character,” James said on the Ray Hadley Morning Show.
