Has Victoria just sounded the death knell for the Commonwealth Games?
The Victorian government has backtracked on hosting the 2026 Commonwealth Games, and it may just be the death of the games.
Chris O’Keefe spoke to the International Olympic Committee’s John Coates about the controversial move, and the Vice President admitted it’s making it harder for the games to exist.
“More difficult. I certainly hope it does have a future. It’s been very, very important for our athletes”, he told Drive listeners.
