Linda Reynolds has announced she will sue Brittany Higgins, making good on threats to take the former staffer to court.

Reynolds is suing Higgins for aggravated damages over social media posts, as she also alleges there was a breach of settlement which included a non-disparagement clause.

The Western Australia senator is not the first parliamentarian to sue for defamation, with Peter Dutton, Joe Hockey, and Christian Porter all previously taking matters to court.
