Rugby league legend Tawera Nikau was our special guest for Where Are They Now this weekend.

Nikau made his debut for the Bulldogs in 1988, before a stint overseas, and then returning to Australia to play with the Sharks in 1995.

He joined the Storm in 1998 for their inaugural season and was instrumental in leading the Storm back from a 14-nil half-time deficit to the Dragons in the 1999 Grand Final, helping them to go on to win the premiership in his final game for the club.

Nikau opened up about his Rugby League journey, what it meant to be part of the Storm’s first season in the competition and the adversity he’s had to overcome off the field throughout his life.
