Panthers Rugby League boss ‘confident’ of retaining star duo
Panthers Rugby League CEO Matt Cameron is confident the club will be able to retain star players Jarome Luai and Dylan Edwards.
Both players are off contract at the end of next season meaning they’re free to test the open market from November 1.
However Cameron told The Continuous Call Team he believes both players will continue their careers at the foot of the mountains.
“We’re working with George Mimis at the moment on Dylan,” Cameron said.
“We’re not too far there, we’ll definitely have something sorted out before the boys go into semi-finals.
“With the Jarome situation, it’s been a little bit disappointing some people are trying to pitch it as we’re sort of prioritising other players on top of Jarome.
“Jarome is going through a bit with his management at the moment and we’re being really respectful of that.
“Once he gets that bit sorted out, I’m pretty confident we’ll get that one sorted out as well.”
