State of Origin is returning to Perth for the 2025 and 2028 series after a successful NRL double header on Saturday.

Optus Stadium will serve as the neutral venue for New South Wales and Queensland to battle it out with games to be played in Melbourne in 2024 and 2026.

A crowd of more than 59,000 fans packed into each of the Origin games in Perth in 2019 and 2022.

The team including Darryl Brohman were all for taking the showpiece to a neutral venue.

“I’m happy for Perth, I’m happy with it,” Brohman said.

“Have one in Sydney, have one in Brisbane and then spread the love.”
