Pauline Hanson on the axing of Mark Latham as NSW One Nation leader

Clinton Maynard

Luke is joined by Pauline Hanson, Senator for Queensland / Leader of Pauline Hanson’s One Nation, following an extraordinary day in the party’s history in NSW.

Mark Latham, NSW One Nation leader, resists Pauline Hanson’s attempt to remove him, asserting his position as head of the party’s parliamentary team while suggesting that if she’s concerned about underperformance, she should look in the mirror.

Senator Hanson dissolved One Nation’s state executive, which Latham led, due to a poor election result.  Mr Latham then accused Ms Hanson of taking over the NSW branch without consultation and interfering with funds.

He noted a 1% drop in the party’s upper house vote but highlighted a 6% result, 2% above the previous year’s NSW Senate result.

Senator Hanson now sits on the state executive and vowed to become “personally involved” in a review of the party organisation, including its parliamentary wing.
