Former captain Paul Gallen has said Latrell Mitchell needs to learn and focus better off the pitch if he’s to utilise his potential.

Mitchell was seen sculling a beer at a Luke Combs concert on Wednesday night before being part of a highly disappointing South Sydney performance just days later.

“I don’t think that’s good preparation, going into a must-win performance. I probably do have a bit of an issue with that. But yeah, look, technically he’s done nothing wrong”, Gallen said of Mitchell while defending his right to have a life outside football.
