Senator Hanson unimpressed by the BCA advocating a GST increase
Luke is joined by Pauline Hanson, Queensland Senator & Leader of Pauline Hanson’s One Nation, who none too pleased about the Business Council of Australia’s proposal to increase the GST, as mentioned in the “Seizing The Moment” report.
The BCA highlights Australia’s potential in clean energy due to its resources and Indo-Pacific location, emphasizing the need for coordinated government policies to achieve 2030 and 2035 targets, and net zero emissions by 2050.
The BCA suggests a comprehensive tax review for efficiency, aiming to incentivize business investment, innovation, and hiring. They also advocate for a more competitive company tax rate, citing the OECD average of 25 percent as a reference.
Senator Hanson also spoke at the conservative gathering CPAC over the weekend in Sydney where she received a terrific reception when she spoke about the need for conservatives to start better engaging with younger voters 18 to 35.
