Incoming St George Illawarra coach Shane Flanagan has confirmed club legend Matt Cooper won’t be returning to the Red V as part of his coaching staff next year.

It comes after reports emerged this week Cooper was in discussions with Flanagan about returning to the club where he won a premiership at in 2010.

H0wever, Flanagan a member of The Continuous Call Team, has clarified those reports.

“It’s definitely not happening because I’ve got my coaching staff,” Flanagan said.

Flanagan also addressed speculation linking Michael Ennis to the Dragons.

“I’m not sure where Michael is going, I haven’t got any places available at the Dragons,” Flanagan said.

“I think that he might end up at the Manly Sea Eagles.”
