If the NSW Labor “jobs for mates” scandal didn’t already look, feel, and smell dodgy, it’s only looking worse as the inquiry nears. Josh Murray, the new NSW Transport Secretary, has even more of a past with the Transport Minister Jo Haylen than originally thought.

Not only was Murray a Labor Party member, but he and his wife both donated hundreds towards Jo Haylen during 2022. Chris O’Keefe, who broke the story on Murray’s dodgy hiring, remarked that Haylen’s failure to declare Murray’s donations before then hiring him looks like a breach of the ministerial code of conduct.

“But if you [Chris Minns] want to hold yourselves to the highest standard. Commission an investigation into whether the ministerial code has been broken,” Chris O’Keefe warned Premier Minns.
