‘Use it or lose it’: Local Sydney butcher urges customers to return as times get tougher
The cost-of-living crisis has made life difficult for all sorts of businesses, but one of the hardest hit has been our local butchers.
The owners of Riverview Butchers in Sydney’s north shore have been put into an unenviable position: having to go out to the public and urge customers to buy from them as they stand on the brink of extinction.
“I let them know it’s gonna go if they don’t support their local… if we’re not profiting and not moving forward we’ll go the way of the local hardware stores”, owner Ray Price told Chris O’Keefe.
