EXCLUSIVE | ‘It’s like cancer it just spreads’: Bulldogs legend slams whinging players
Former Bulldogs star Josh Morris has slammed the ongoing negativity and whinging from current players, after a turbulent week for the club.
It comes as reports emerged this week that an unnamed player was asked to wrestle up to 20 teammates as punishment for being late to training earlier this year, before later stepping away from the club in the following week.
Cameron Ciraldo was then forced to defend the methods he’s used to lift standards at the club, but Morris who played more than 200 games for the Bulldogs and is a member of The Continuous Call Team, backed the coach.
“It’s hard to see as a former player,” Morris said.
“You hear about all this negativity and whinging about long training days, they have one long training day.
“But because you’re losing you find things to whinge about, it’s like cancer it just spreads.
“I’ve got no doubt that some of those players have checked out already.”
The Bulldogs have won just seven games in 2023 in Ciraldo’s first year as coach.
