Worker shortages rife a year on from Jobs Summit

Fruit and vegetable growers are demanding an overhaul to visa arrangements as they report severe labour shortages, one year on from the Federal Government’s Jobs and Skills Summit.

AusVeg is concerned the workforce will continue to narrow with changes to working holiday visas and work hours for overseas students.

Rural reporter Ella Smith spoke to National Public Affairs manager Lucy Gregg about how growers are struggling, and what they want.
