Sydney skies to stay smoke-filled for weeks

As hazard reduction burns continue in and around Sydney, the NSW Rural Fire Service is warning that smoke haze will continue for days and even weeks.

The warning comes as the NSW RFS  rushes to complete hazard reduction burns, which are significantly behind schedule due to recent La Nina weather conditions.

Ben Shepherd from the NSW Rural Fire Service told John Stanley that warm and dry conditions, like those expected this coming weekend, means that the timeframe to get fire-prevention work done is getting shorter sooner.
