Climate protesters march to NSW Parliament bringing Sydney to standstill
Protesters are marching up Macquarie Street and camped outside Parliament House in Sydney to protest against banks funneling funds into fracking, as well as Santos pipelines and gas fields.
The march began before midday on Thursday, with university students, community members, environmentalists and more part of the protest which has brought Sydney’s CBD to a standstill.
Senior reporter Clinton Maynard described it as the biggest protest against the Chris Minns government since it took charge.
