‘Selling like hotcakes’: Peter V’landys boasts big ticket sales for NRL in Vegas
The controversial move to have NRL matches in Las Vegas in 2024 has been debated amongst fans, but for ARL commissioner Peter V’landys, the ticket sales are very positive.
Critics have called it a sideshow and similar to AFL in China, while supporters believe the idea is worth a shot at expanding rugby league’s presence in North America. V’landys is focused on the sales, with it looking good for the league.
“Vegas has been extraordinary. I’ve never seen anything like it. The response has been we’ve sold over nearly over 10,000 so far… and the tour packages are going like hotcakes.”
