Senator Jacinta Nampijinpa Price has told Ray Hadley that she won’t stop fighting for the rights of Aboriginal women, ensuring they have the power to express their opinions and be respected in the same way as Indigenous men in Australia.

While speaking ahead of the all-important referendum on Saturday, Senator Price spoke about her continued fight to see greater respect for Indigenous women.

“We have been pushed to the side,” she said.

“When they talk about bringing down the patriarchy, what they mean is white men because Aboriginal men can get away with misogyny.

“If an Aboriginal woman stands up to that misogyny, we are told that we can’t think for ourselves and we are Uncle Tom.”
