Bill Shorten has unloaded on the selfish and “evil” Hamas, who he says do not actually care about the harm they are causing innocent civilians on both sides of the conflict.

The former Opposition Leader told Deb the group’s views are not to help “everyday” Palestinians, denouncing them as “not giving a stuff” about those they claim to be fighting for, saying it’s the same mentality they have towards Israelis.

“But it’s a diabolical situation for everyday Palestinians. Hamas, they don’t give us stuff for everyday Palestinians […] or Israelis”, Shorten told Afternoons listeners.
