‘Deplorable’: Man threatens Jewish people, families at popular Sydney beach
Co-CEO of the Executive Council of Australian Jewry, Alex Ryvchin, has informed Ray Hadley that Sydney has witnessed another surge in anti-Semitic incidents as the conflict in Israel and Gaza continues to escalate.
In one example of concerning behaviour, Ryvchin claims families at a popular beach in Watsons Bay were forced to witness a man shouting obscenities about Jewish people before threatening to rape a man’s wife after the man intervened.
“He began yelling on the beach, ‘F the Jews, F U Jews. Jews, get off the beach,” Ryvchin said on 2GB.
“He was then confronted by one Jewish man, at which point the perpetrator threatened to rape his wife in front of him.”
