‘We are concerned’: AFP on alert to the heightened risks of terror in Australia
Australian Federal Police Commissioner Reece Kershaw told Ray Hadley that the AFP does indeed have heightened concerns regarding acts of terrorism in Australia as the conflict in the Middle East continues to divide the world.
The AFP Commissioner was questioned about the ongoing conflict overseas, and when asked if there was an increased level of concern regarding acts of terror in Australia, he responded: “I think we are concerned.”
“That’s why we started Operation Larimer within the AFP, and that’s to mitigate any threat or risk of crime to our officers, and in particular the community.”
