Locals in the Hunter have been dealt another blow.

Last year, Chris Bowen and the Federal Government deemed the area suitable for offshore wind.

The offshore wind zone is expected to cover more than 1,800 square kilometres between the Central Coast and Port Stephens.

Late last week, residents were hit with some more bad news.
