Israeli-Palestinian conflict’s impact on global politics

Mike Jeffreys

Mike speaks with Dr. Tanveer Ahmed, Psychiatrist & Social Commentator, about how the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is galvanizing Islamic communities worldwide.

This issue has significant implications for upcoming Western elections, including in the UK, America, and Australia.

In Australia, tensions are evident with Senator Payman crossing the floor against her Labor Party, highlighting growing rifts within center-left parties trying to balance support for Israel with opposition to Palestinian suffering.

In Britain, where there are almost 4 million Muslims, the campaign group ‘The Muslim Vote’ aims to capitalize on this sentiment, evidenced by a drop in the Labour vote in recent council elections in areas with large Muslim populations.

In Australia, formerly safe Labor seats in western Sydney and parts of Melbourne are also under threat from independent candidates.
