Launched in 2011, NASA’s NEOWISE mission detected over 3,000 near-Earth objects (NEOs) before being shut down on August 8.

Mike speaks with Professor Steven Tingay, Astrophysicist and Executive Director of the Curtin Institute of Radio Astronomy (CIRA), to discuss NEOWISE’s impact on planetary defense.

The mission identified more than 200 previously unknown NEOs, contributing significantly to our understanding of potential asteroid threats.
