Asparagus crops dumped from supermarket shelves

Farmers are raising the alarm about a rise in supermarkets rejecting crops due to weather events.

More than three thousand kilograms of asparagus has been dumped from the major supermarkets, after damaging winds in Victoria and New South Wales left the crops slightly curved.

Rural Editor Emily Minney spoke with Farmers Pick founder Josh Ball about the rise in rejection based on cosmetic demands.
