Government leaves building & construction in limbo

Mike is joined by Brian Seidler, Executive Director of Master Builders Association NSW, who supports the Federal Opposition’s housing policies to boost supply.

The Master Builders, representing residential, commercial, and civil construction, stresses the need for all sectors to help solve the housing crisis.

Opposition Leader Peter Dutton pledged $5 billion for critical infrastructure, while MBA notes that rising construction costs, labor shortages, and red tape hinder progress.

The Opposition also proposed freezing the National Construction Code to reduce costs and complexity, which they sees as a positive step toward easing barriers in the industry.
