‘Enough is enough’ – Listener opens up about illegal parking at Central Coast beach
A listener has written to Ray regarding two illegally parked vehicles at the top carpark of the Swadling Reserve at Toowoon Bay.
She told Ray two men had begun permanently living in the carpark at separate times with the council refusing to do anything, but volunteers of the Toowoon Bay Surf Club will soon face a fine from the council if they angle park.
“Enough is enough,” she said.
In a statement, a spokesperson from the Central Coast Council says the Council’s parking officers and rangers actively respond to complaints regarding alleged illegal parking and camping across the Central Coast as well as undertaking proactive patrols of known hotspots given that such actions can lead to a number of issues including the reduction in accessible parking spots and the inappropriate management of waste and wastewater.
They also say they have taken action against those illegally parking at the Toowoon Bay club.
