From ‘prohibitive’ to ‘time-saver’ How a road tunnel made up for the mistakes of former governments
Chris O’Keefe admits his tune has changed on the WestConnex road tunnel once labelled the ‘road to nowhere’ by the now Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.
He notes the tunnel has had a massive impact on shortening travel time for commuters and has made up for the mistakes of previous Labor state governments.
“Once the tunnel under the Harbour is finished, you’ll effectively be able to drive from North Sydney to the Airport in say 15 minutes,” he said.
