Sydney Rail shutdown: No trains for four days as union and government deadlock
No trains will run on Sydney’s rail network between Thursday and Sunday, as the state government and union fail to reach a compromise.
Members had said a shutdown could be avoided if services ran 24 hours on weekends.
Transport Minister Jo Haylen says that alternative arrangements are being put in place but there will be major disruptions.
