Wallabies star Kurtley Beale joins Alan Jones in studio
Wallabies star Kurtley Beale is back in the country following Australia’s disastrous tour of Europe.
The 28-year-old joined Alan Jones in studio admitting things didn’t go to plan.
“Obviously we started the tour off really well and then a couple of big, key decisions kind of changed the momentum.
His good friend and former teammate Quade Cooper has been told he isn’t required at the Queensland Reds next season, something Beale thinks is a mistake.
“I definitely regard him as one of the best players I’ve ever played with. Certainly one of the best instinctive players.
“It’s obviously pretty disappointing to see him not have a run next year.
“I just hope they’ll be able to work something out mate, because he’s someone we need in Australian rugby.”
Beale has signed up as an ambassador for the second year of the Brisbane Global Rugby Tens to be played at Suncorp Stadium in February.
“This is one of the best formats of the game I think. There’s going to be a lot of space out there and that’s something I thrive on.”
