Conservatives confident for Bennelong by-election

Article image for Conservatives confident for Bennelong by-election

The Bennelong by-election will be held tomorrow with Liberal and Labor fighting for the must-win seat.

The polls show preferences will most likely have a say in the winner, making Australian Conservatives candidate Joram Richa a vital cog.

Mr Richa tells Michael McLaren he wants voters in his electorate to send a message to Canberra.

“This is a conservative electorate. People are concerned about the cost of living but they’re also concerned about the lack of protections for religious freedoms.”

“We’re here to bring hope to people who aren’t happy with the way things are going. We offer an alternative in these uncertain times.”

Mr Richa says the “constant bickering” in Canberra isn’t good enough.

“I want to remind people that we can’t reward the failures of our leaders. We need to put Australia first.”
