Kids are getting paid to do their maths homework

Article image for Kids are getting paid to do their maths homework

One man is encouraging children to do their maths homework in a unique way.

Mohamad Jebara has created Mathspace, an app which helps teens and kids to understand maths.

But there’s a catch.

Parents put money into the app, and if the child completes the homework the child gets the money.

If they don’t, the money goes to Mohamad.

Ben Fordham speaks with Mohamad about the non-conventional idea.

“It’s a weird one. Because everything we do on the app is actually encouraging kids to do their homework, so we’re trying our best to get the kids paid and not us.

“75% on average every week, of students, are actually doing their homework.”
