A man has been charged with shooting a couple at their home in Sydney’s west last night.

At around 7.30pm, the 47-year-old man and 43-year-old woman were found with gunshot wounds at the property on Kidd Close at Bidwill.

Both were rushed to Westmead Hospital where they remain in serious but stable conditions.

Shortly after the shooting police arrested a 23-year-old man on Idriess Circuit at Blackett.

He’s now been charged with two counts of shoot at with intent to murder, assault officer in execution of duty and resist officer in execution of duty.

He’s been refused bail to appear in Mt Druitt Local Court today.
